If there is one trend in bedroom lighting that has caught on pretty rapidly in the last couple of years, it is the use of pendants as bedside lighting. Bedside pendant lights save precious space, free up the bedside table surface for and allow you to illuminate even the tiniest of bedroom corners with ease. Of course, the look as beautiful in larger bedrooms as they do in small, apartment bedrooms and you can even combine a couple of small pendant lights or try out cascading chandelier look to take captivating bedside lighting to a whole new level!
These fabulous bedside units can be used in a variety of ways to make sure that they fit the specific floor plan of your existing bedrooms. Available in Matt lacquer or Tobacco Oak wood finishes, you can combine as many individual units as you choose to create larger storage cabinets for the bedroom. While the simple and elegant 2-drawer unit is great for those who want to use Alter as a minimal and functional nightstand, multiple drawer units such as the Alter 6 drawer tallboy can be combined with your wardrobe or design space to fulfill your growing storage needs.
A first idea would be that you can replace the classic nightstands with shelves, thus capitalizing on height space. You can custom build them so that the lower part takes over the role and appearance of what they replace. And now you will need a closet. One that is as big as possible so that you don’t lose any wall surface. But it’s not that easy. Given your room’s form, you may not have an entire wall for that wardrobe. That’s why you should consider having the drawer in front of the bed (unlike the usual — sideways). You can even fit in your TV set. If that’s not an option as well, how about a TV stand with drawers? It’s probably the best solution.
When top designers across the world are getting creating with pendant and bedside lamp designs, why should you fall behind when it comes to using them in the bedroom! Get creating this spring and summer by combining a table lamp on one side of the bed with pendant light or floor lamp on the other to paint of picture of quirky contrast. LED strip lighting that is built into the bed frame is also a fun option for those who do not want too much accent of task lighting and would prefer a more moody, romantic bedroom.
